Has anyone got any information about the housing estate formally known as the Fryans Farm Estate, the estate that stands to the left of the river Crouch looking to the right of the river bridge on the London Road. My parents and I moved in to Reeds Way on 4th November 1967 and they still live there now.
I would like to know a little bit about the Fryans Farm, the buildings that existed on the site, memories about the type of farming done there and the people involved.
I met many of my childhood friends when I first moved to Reeds Way, people such as Alan Nicholas and Christopher Walls and I remember many happy days helping Eddie, the Carter and Ward builder, with his sand and cement.
Any information would be much appreciated.
