Demolition of houses by the railway bridge on the east of the High Street in preparation for the building of Gibraltar House and shops facing the street.
The houses shown were indeed for railway employees. My Great grandad Mr Anderson lived there with his wife and 9 children. When he retired from the railway he had to leave the house.
