Wickford High Street and the Broadway have been spruced up over the past two years, shop fronts being painted and new signs put up over the doors.
Maplefords shop on the Broadway has had a complete facelift, and I think it looks great.
- It started out in 1906 as two shops, seen here being built.
- By the 1960s it looked completely different when the Co-op took over and changed the frontage.
- Now Mapleford’s and Pisces still occupy the shops but the first floor and roof line have changed dramatically.
