Christchurch Brownies

The Christchurch Brownies entered floats or walking groups into The Wickford Carnival most years. All year the children would look forward to “putting on a show”, thinking of new ideas, making the costumes and building the floats  In 1979 the theme for the float was “Children of the Future”. In 1987 The Walking Group “The Rainbow” won first prize, and for their 75th Anniversary they dressed up in cake frills and candles.
