I lived in Runwell during the 1970s and 1980s (now live in Vancouver, Canada). In 1977 I was secretary of the Runwell Jubilee Fund Raising Committee, which through a series of fund-raising events collected sufficient funds to purchase part of the park in Runwell and construct a cricket square, and to build a simple pavilion and changing rooms.
I have two photos concerning the Cricket Club, one is of the team of the Club’s initial match back in 1983, and the other a list of those Runwell CC members in 1983. I recall a few names of the team, Jim Sloane, John Estall, and myself, and perhaps your readers can identify some others.
