A happy sense of relief started to spread through the people of Wickford when the vaccine roll-out began.

As we approach the end of 2021 we have spent nearly two years of our lives adapting our behaviour to cope with a deadly disease.  At the end of 2019 most of us hadn’t even heard of Covid 19, but now it is a prominent part of everyday life. As the war years of 1939-1945 had a long term effect on those who lived through them, it is likely that the pandemic years will become part of our own personalities and behaviour for many years to come.

The pandemic seems to be far from over but we are inviting you to start recording your thoughts and recollections of people and events – your abiding memories of these unusual times, aspects of which might, in due course, become ‘normal’.

We will be pleased to receive your articles, short or long, about your experiences, or, alternatively, comments which you wish to add to articles written by others.
