A look back at a Wonderful Carnival

In September 1980 the streets of Wickford were crowded with onlookers as a colourful Carnival paraded through the streets. In those days the Carnival was well supported by many floats and organisations. Can you see yourself in the crowd? or were you one of the participants. Please let us know

  • The Round Table and Salvation Army – what great charities these are.
    My sister, Sandra Stevens, was in a London Hospital in 1980 with a rare disorder called Goodpasture Syndrome. It attacks kidneys.
    The charities helped my Father and Mother to pay the cost of getting to London.
