Memories of Wickford carnivals.

I came upon your website by chance and was immediately taken back to my childhood!  My mum, dad, myself and my four sisters lived in Southend Road from 1963 until we moved away from the area in 1975. The carnival used to pass by our house and we used to stand at the end of our drive and watch it, with handfuls of small change to throw into the collection buckets. Mrs. Goodfellow used to be in the carnival every year with her nursery children dressed up as animals.
I haven’t been back for many years, is the Mala school of dancing still there?
