  • I remember the Richardson family. Jennifer was in my year at school, also Zander married into the Andrews family who were local builders. The Wickford war memorial was next door and was demolished to build the bypass. I believe the district nurse lived in the Memorial Cottage.

  • In the top picture (top left photo) is my grandparents’ bungalow. It was called ‘Genesta’. My grandparents were William Gordon Richardson and Bertha Margarita Richardson. My father lived here, Gordon Brian Richardson with his 3 sisters Shelagh, Zanda (now lives in Swan Lane) and Jennifer. My mother also lived and grew up in Wickford, Sheila Durand. This year (2014) my parents are celebrating 60 years of marriage.

  • Further to my last post. I remember my father saying that the “Nurse” lived next door.
