Duchess of Cambridge visits Wickford

On Wednesday 7 February 2018, Wickford had a visit by a member of the Royal family, namely the Duchess of Cambridge. She formally opened the Action on Addiction premises in Runwell Road. The charity was one of the first she became involved with.

The new centre which opened in October 2017 runs self help recovery programs for people with addictions

It is believed that this is the first time that a member of the Royal family has made a visit to our town. Although the visit was private, a number of residents attended to see her.
