Another photograph from the ‘Echo’ archive. This meeting of Headteachers from Wickford’s primary and secondary schools took place in 1991. It would be good to put names to all of them – were you at school around the early 1990s and do you recognise any of the faces?

John Davies is shown 6th from the right.
Peter Webster, Head of Castledon School, is on the far left.
6th from the right is the former headteacher from Beauchamps School John Davies(?) He wrote a Lett’s Study Aids guide for German, long before the plural word AIDS had any other connotation….
John Poad, head of the table, from Bromfords School, and I believe Mr Lang from Grange Primary is 3 to the right of him!
