Lee Romer contacted us with a copy of a form from the 1930s:
“I am undertaking ancestral research into my great grandfather, who I believe may have been working in Wickford in the early part of the 20th century. The only real lead I have to go on is the document attached. Mr F. Walker may actually be my great grandfather, so we are trying to find out anything we can about the man!”
Some of our older residents might have memories. Please let us know if you are able to throw any light on Walker Bros.

There is a farm in Crays Hill called Bury Farm. It’s off Gardeners Lane North, Crays Hill.
It’s owned by William Walker. The Walkers have owned it over 60 years.
