Linda Elmy has commented “My father, George Warder, owned ‘Warders Bakers’ and the Bake House at Ramsden Heath, behind the cottages. He also ran a catering business and had a chicken farm where he lived in Billericay. He retired at the age of 70(?) and died in September 1992”.

I remember Mr George Warder and his bakery in Ramsden Heath. He was such a lovely man. When I married in Ramsden Bellhouse church in 1953 Warders made my cake. Rationing was still on so my mother helped to supply fruit for my cake. Fond memories….
