Benjamin Fox - rabbit seller

Did you know this market trader?

Although not strictly part of Wickford history, my Grandad from Laindon did have a link with Wickford.
In the 1940s, pensions were not like they are today – he was not paid enough to be able to earn some sort of living, so he kept rabbits to sell in those meat-rationed days. He sold them in Wickford market.
I am curious to know if anybody has any knowledge of Benjamin Fox of Kimberley Road, Laindon. He died in 1950. He had worked for the Gas, Light and Coke Company and this resulted in him having all those diseases that miners got.
