My great-grandparents used to live down Print Close, which I believe could be the photo above, maybe my family, the Smith family?

During my time in Wickford, 1940s/50s, my Mother used to take me for walks to Battlesbridge from our home in Carlton Road. We would go past Burr Hall, go right and take a short cut across the fields, down into a huge long pit, a “tank trap”, scramble up the other side, across the railway line, through some trees and come out at Battlesbridge.
